I am studying in APIIT. It is a topmost IT college /University in Malaysia. APIIT has at least 5000 students round the globe. Most of them from Iran, Saudi Arab, Nigeria, Botswana, Africa, Ghana, India, Pakistan, Indonesia, China and even from Iraq. So, here we live in a real multicultural environment. It is very easy to share our thoughts and know about others.
Basically, I want to give a summary of my Lat one month in KL. The most regretful matter is that know body likes Bangladeshi people. Cause … we are not good people. I am confused … I think GOD never created Bangladeshis … he/she was in vacation …and may be asked his/her assistant to create some more people. So, they created the most ugly, uneducated, uncivilized, poor, terrorist and also corrupt humans…. So what can we expect from them…
Yester day, in our “Database and Web Database (DWDS) “class our teacher (Malaysian Indian) teaching us Data Security. She is giving example that “Bangladeshi people can corrupt the Database”. Again In one of my job interview one of the Interviewers also telling that in your country you do not have integeaty. So if you develop a website than your country mates will hack it. So, he is asking me to develop security system. I told him that I will develop some security options for your site.
In my interview the Managing Director was telling me that “I am giving you the job cause, you are from my Bangladesh”. He is thinking about their nearer country. But what we are doing??? In KL no Bangladeshi will help any other Bangladeshi. I am surprised to see this. One day I call a Bangladeshi Guy … he told me that I am Holiday … please call me later. Then I called him 3 days later … he told me …I am busy … ok …You can come… then I went to meet him… he told me to wait in his car park (what an F… country mate). I was waiting there …then he sends me a SMS …wait 15 mins I will come. Then after 30 mins he called me and tell me that I am going for prayer … you can go 4th floor … there you will get some Bangladeshi … I just came back… and deleted all his contact …
I was very much lonely here in my first days. So, I am looking for some Bangladeshi … So, I call a friend in Bangladesh to take some Number. I called him 2/3 times. Then he sends me a number of his friend. Who is a student in KL. So, I called the boy. He told me that if you can come to Bukit Bintang (a place far from my home). So, I went there to meet him. He is not receiving phone. I was waiting. After one hour he picked the phone and tells me to wait. After 1 hour I called him again … then he told that he is busy. He will not come today.
So, I think it is clear now “Why we are Bangladeshi”. A Bangladeshi employer will never say that “I am proud that you are from my country…so I am giving you the job”. They will never think even to help a Bangladeshi. But Indian or Pakistani people are doing that. I know a Bangladeshi Muslim boy, who is a student. His name is ALI. Ali is doing a job (illegal) in a Hindu Hotel (named Joy Hind). He is telling me that … all of them are Hindu and south Indian. But they behave like that I am also from their country. When I was looking for a job crazily (He was running short of money) I was going door to door. I meet lot of Bangladeshi. But they do not want to help me. They are telling ‘Why I will face problem for you?”. But these Indian are brave. They are willing to help him. He is getting 700 RM + foods. He is doing fulltime job and study in a part-time college. He goes only 1 day per week for attendance. No –exam and class… they will give you the certificate after 3-4 years. This college is selling certificates to illegal Bangladeshi, Indonesian and Indians. Unfortunately the name of the college is “RIMA College”. Their motto is “Education for All”. I visited the college. Because it is near to my office.
Even my Indian and Pakistani friends are telling me lots of story about them. All they are ok … all Indian Business man are helping their student. Some time they fought with the Malaysian Govt. They says… you are Indian…you are my brother. So, I should help you. Even in Sri Petaling, we go to an Indian Hotel (Tajmohol)...for Dinner. They sell Ruti…parata…rice all Indian foods. In that shop they give discount rates for Indian Students. Free “Ice Koso”. Free Tea. Even some time they allow them credit facility (Loan money).
Last week Rima send me some money through bank. I told my Pakistani Roommate that I am going to bank. He is surprised to hear it. He asked me “You do not have any Bangladeshi in KL?? “. I reply that “Yes”. He told “Then, Why Bank”. You can take money from them. And your friend will pay the money to his/her family in Dhaka. It will save your money. He also told me that… every Pakistani and Indian doing so… Then I told him that ...Bangladeshi people do not even want to meet any Bangladeshi. How they will believe us to exchange money. Then He is laughing, Bangladeshi people are ‘ajib cheria’ (means incredible item).
So now I am not interested about Bangladeshi. Last day I was coming by LRT form my office (KLCC) to Sri Pelting. So, in my front seat there is two Bangladeshi. I was listening them. But I was not speaking at all in Bangla. At Sri Petaling station they are looking for some address. Then I went to them and speaking in Bangla. They are surprised. They are telling me, “Are you Bangladeshi??? But you look like Malay.” Then I helped them to take a Taxi. I give them direction and also to the Driver (in English). Because they are worker, so do not know English. So, finally, my question is how much we have to wait to be a real country mate. Originally “We are Bangladeshi…Not Human”.
